The GEO audit: the deliverable that tells you what to fix

A dashboard tells you where you stand. The audit tells you what to do, in which order, and why. It is included every month in all three plans, once a month per project.

Diagnosis is never enough

Most AI visibility tools stop at the observation. You learn that you are cited on three questions out of fifteen, that two competitors are ahead of you, and you close the tab without knowing where to start.

The difficulty is that the cause of weak visibility is rarely where people look for it. A brand can produce excellent content and stay invisible because its firewall blocks AI crawlers. Another can be technically flawless and absent because no third-party source connects it to its subject. Those are opposite diagnoses, with two action plans that have nothing in common.

The GEO audit cross-references three analyses to identify which cause applies to you, then hands you a plan ranked by impact. You know what to do on Monday morning.

The three analyses

Each answers a different question. Together they cover the three possible causes of weak visibility.

1

Technical audit

Can AI platforms read you?

We check what AI crawlers actually see on your site: the rules that allow or block them, the security protections that filter them out, often without anyone having decided to, and the content loaded in JavaScript that simply does not exist for them.

This is the most frequent cause and the least suspected. A site that ranks perfectly on Google can be entirely invisible to an AI.

2

In-depth analysis

Where exactly do you drop off?

Ten of your tracked questions are retested under several phrasings. A brand cited on "best tool for X" can disappear on "which tool should I choose for X", even though the intent is identical.

This reading reveals the angles where your visibility hangs on one precise wording, and those where it is genuinely established.

3

Traffic analysis

Is your visibility paying off?

Visits that genuinely came from AI platforms are cross-referenced with your measured visibility. A heavily cited brand receiving no visits does not have the same problem as a rarely cited brand whose every citation converts.

That cross-reference separates an awareness problem from a conversion problem, and it shapes the action plan.

What you get at the end

A prioritised action plan, ranked by expected impact and by effort required. Quick technical fixes rise to the top, structural work is flagged as such, and nothing is presented as urgent by default.

Plus a 33-point GEO checklist, the same at every audit, that you tick off month after month. It acts as a stable reference: you see what has been handled, what remains, and you never start from a blank page at each cycle.

Once a month, per project

The audit is included in the Solo, Consultant and Agency plans, at one audit per month per project. A consultant tracking three clients therefore receives three separate audits every month, each with its own action plan.

That rhythm is not arbitrary. AI platforms take 3 to 8 weeks to pick up new or edited content. Auditing weekly would mean rereading the same diagnosis before your fixes have had time to take effect. The monthly cycle matches the real length of the loop: you fix, the platforms pick it up, the next audit measures.

If you need an extra audit within the month, after a redesign or a migration for instance, it costs 19 EUR excluding VAT. And if you simply want to check the effect of a fix without running a full audit, an on-demand scan is enough.

What the audit covers during the free trial

During the 14-day trial you receive the technical part of the audit. That is deliberately the most useful place to start: it tells you whether your site is readable by AI platforms, which conditions everything else. Excellent content sitting behind a technical block will never be cited, however much editorial work goes into it.

The in-depth analysis of your questions, the traffic analysis, the prioritised action plan and the checklist come with a paid plan.

Where the audit stops and support begins

The audit identifies, prioritises and documents. It does not modify your site, write your content or negotiate citations on third-party publications. That work remains yours, and most of our clients handle it in house without difficulty from the plan provided.

If you are short on time or resources, our team takes execution on as a separate engagement from the subscription. Details on the GEO consulting page.

What feeds the audit

The audit picks up and deepens what these modules measure continuously.

Frequently asked questions

Is the GEO audit genuinely included, or billed separately?

Included, in all three paid plans, at one audit per month per project. It is not an option or a module to unlock. If you need an extra audit within the month, it costs 19 EUR excluding VAT.

How long does an audit take?

You trigger it from your dashboard and it runs without any input from you. The report appears in your account once the analysis is complete. There is nothing to install and nothing to configure beyond connecting Google Analytics, which the traffic part requires.

Do I need technical skills to apply the action plan?

It depends on the item. Editorial recommendations can be applied by anyone who manages content. Technical fixes, such as unblocking crawlers or adjusting a security protection, need access to your hosting or help from your developer. Each item in the plan states which type it is, so you know what you can handle yourself.

Why ten questions and not all of them?

Because the in-depth analysis retests each question under several phrasings, which multiplies the volume of queries. Ten well-chosen questions give a representative reading of your main angles. Your other questions stay tracked weekly in your dashboard.

How is this different from a classic SEO audit?

An SEO audit looks at what influences your rank in a list of links: internal linking, tags, speed, backlinks. A GEO audit looks at what influences your presence inside a written answer: reachability for AI crawlers, existence of citable content, third-party sources connecting you to your subject. The two overlap in places, but the priorities are not the same.

Does the audit modify my site?

Never. The audit reads and analyses, it writes nothing. No change is made to your site, your content or your configuration. You remain the only decision maker on what you apply and what you leave aside.

I am new to this, where should I start?

With the technical part, available from the free trial. In a few minutes it will tell you whether your site is readable by AI platforms. That is the first question to settle, because no editorial work compensates for a technical block.

Create your project and run the technical part of the GEO audit. It is the question to settle before all the others.
